INSPIRATION IS THE NAME OF THE GAME WHEN IT COMES TO ALL THINGS QUILTY
Whether it’s from an event, a vision, a purpose, or just a reason to try something new—the items you will see here are examples of what you might want to call your very own. Enjoy the tour!
MOTIFS & FUNDRAISERS
Scrappy Applique designed for Gladewater High School's All School Reunion hosted by the Class of 1973. Nancy Edwards was the winner of the quilt.
Additional quilts used as fundraisers for local and national Federal Education events.
SOMETHING OLD MADE NEW AGAIN
For Aunt Peggy, one antique quilt top was divided and made into two lap quilts, modernized with brightly colored borders, backing and binding. And for Cousin Kim, her favorite antique quilt was repaired and new binding added so she could gift it to her son, Stephen.
GIFTS FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS

PRECIOUS MEMORIES
A memory of a precious pet can be created in fabric with a portrait collage to use as a wall-hanging or lap quilt.
QUILT SHOWS
Participation in the first two outdoor quilt shows held by Sunbonnet Sue Quilt Club held in Pioneer Park was a first for me! It was beautiful to see all of the exceptional work by my fellow club members and an honor to assist by volunteering during the show. Both years, I contributed some of my quilts for display. In 2023, my Domino portrait collage was voted FIRST PLACE by quilt show attendees.
The Boutique also offers various items for purchase by quilt show attendees. Many were made as a result of classes offered to members and products donated. All funds go to support the many ways we all contribute to worthy causes in Sequim and Clallam County.

JOY QUILTS
Joy Quilts are created by SBSQC members to wrap around stuffed animals and are given to emergency services and local hospitals. I instructed an Education Class and used Joy Quilts to teach basic machine quilting skills. Participants donated stuffed animals to use for giving. Finished products are shown with class participants.
BARN QUILTS
Barn Quilts were brought to America by European immigrants and have become a popular Folk Art. Not only are they used as decoration for barns, they also serve as navigation tools so travelers can identify different households by their pattern design. Barn Quilt Trails have become very popular in recent times. Barn Quilts we created are used to adorn our homes. I have discovered they can also be used to identify mailboxes.
HOLIDAYS, CELEBRATIONS & RECOGNITION
Whatever the reason or the season to celebrate, quilts are a great way to go! Celebrate the holidays and seasons throughout the year with wall-hangings, table toppers or runners. Recognize a special person for an accomplishment, to show your appreciation, to welcome them, or to say farewell.
